Polyester armour covers me,

hiding my imperfections.

A denim shield protects me

from the societal infractions.

A cotton helmet hides me

from the world of painted faces.

Wooly chest plates force me

to quickly pick up my paces.

Leather shoes try to help me

run from my troubles.

Satin covers embrace me

as my heart turns to rubbles.

Fabric armour covers me

from the world I call my home.

Shielding me from society

and forcing me to roam.

I love how beautifully worded your poem is. It's relatable and flows really well - nice work :)
