Somewhere Out West
Sun bleached rocks
Clash with sickly shrubs
Charred remains of trees older than time
Seem out of place
Jagged teeth rise from the earth
Separating the dry parries
That stretch endlessly in all directions
The playful blue sky
Chases the horizon
Cotton white dreams
Pass lazily in the warm breeze
The sun beats down with great intensity
Turning delicate flesh
A deeper red
Than a desert sunset
