I saw and have seen the ocean
The waves that hug the shore
The sun that twinkles brightly
The sand that begs for more
I saw and have seen the city
The lights themselves are kind
The stars, they're lost forever
The hope, it's almost blind
I saw and have seen heaven,
But only from afar,
The birds, they're always singing,
The door is left ajar
I saw and have seen you,
More beautiful than even these,
Your eyes are like the ocean,
Your laugh, the breeze.
