Have you ever waited for that one person,

Waiting to watch them go by,

Debating whether or not to speak,

You kick yourself for wondering this at all,

Why do you care what they think?

The first time they showed you love. Everything changed.

What once had no expectations will never be the same,

Everytime you blink your eyes, you fear you missed a glimpse,

The thought that they don't feel the same never ceases to drift.

People give out love so quickly,

Offer it to strangers on the street,

Some of us are different,

This pain makes our heads churn,

We don't think it is just gas to be burned,

The issue with affection since it is in such great need,

People use it for hateful greed,

So is love, love or just a token of grief?
