Home is where the heart is- right?

I've always thought,

Home is where the heart is,

I've always thought it was true

And so I found home had eyes of

The brightest blue

Home had warm hands and they

Demanded my attention

A laugh that tugged a my chest-

In a way it helped my soul undress

Maybe home had no walls,

Still there was a heart beat that rises and falls

Home is where the heart is

I've always thought it was true

But no one ever told me,

You can't make a home out of people

No, especially not you
