My Train of Thought in Class
Inside out
Outside in
And back again
We flip
We flop
We clip
to the tops
of anything
and everything
Because we are
whirling north
hurtling west
skipping south
running east
making time
to rise like yeast
to grow
to shrink
bringing out our wings
soaring high
climbing, and clambering on clouds
not touching
not scraping
but breaking the sky
and we keep on going
into space
grazing stars
passing galaxies
tracing moons
hugging suns
time is water
flowing always
somewhere
over the rainbow
way up high
where colors fly
they vibrate
they are alive
Color is alive
we are alive
we are color
we keep on going
Because there’s no point
in digressing
because that’s boring
and this is wonderful
