Unforgiven
I can never forgive you for the things you've made me feel. Love and envy are just a few of them.
You always told me you needed me. That you couldn't live without my love, and that you’d always be there and never hurt me. You lied. You swore that you wouldn't drop me like everyone else has. And you did, I don’t know why i’m surprised, or why it hurt so much since I knew it was coming. But you hurt me more than all of them combined.
I know all I ever did was bring you heartache and sadness, but I never tried to make you feel this way. I never wanted you to hurt. This is supposed to be me forgiving you, but I want to apologize for the things I've said and done. I’ll never be brave enough to message you and tell you. So I’ll just continue to vent to anyone who’s willing to listen, so I don’t make you sad again.
And it kills me that over three months later, I still need you here. And I know you don’t need me.
You broke me, like a doll that's been dropped and glued back together so many times you can’t make out what it is anymore, but if you look hard enough, you can make out what it once was
But I’ll always be there for you and love you, no matter how much you hate me and regret meeting me. There’s nobody like you, so sweet and innocent yet dark and broken, almost as much as me. In the end, the only thing I wish for you is happiness, no matter how much you've hurt me. Soon enough you’ll forget me, you’ll move on and continue to work at the theater and watch Doctor Who with her whenever you get the chance, and drag her to ever convention you possibly can. And there will always be a part of me that wants to be her, but I know it’s impossible, because you’re happy now, and I wouldn't dare try to make you unhappy, you terribly wonderful nerd.

This poem was originally an assignment for a poetry unit we're doing in my english class. I've had a few people tell me to submit it so I thought I would.
