The Innocence of Oblivion

I remember when
oblivion surrounded me
when I believed all I heard
and all I heard was joy and play
but now I see
I had it wrong
they just said that
it wasn’t true
none of it
was ever true
and I can’t help this nostalgia
and I want to stay oblivious
to the real world
to this nightmare
and stay innocent
and stay me
