I guess I was just hoping to at least see you
To at least say hi
Maybe even exchange a smile
It would've made my day
But I guess it wasn't meant to be
We were not meant to see each other
Today or tomorrow
Maybe not ever
Or maybe some day
You moved on
You might not remember
So I guess I should too
I need to stop making up these fantasies up in my head
I always get my hopes up
Then let myself down
So I guess since you said goodbye
I will too

I had a best friend that lived in my hometown and I was really excited to see him because we were visiting. I think I had a crush on him but I was a little girl. I was worried that he didn't remember me. I went to my old church hoping to see him and he wasn't there. I asked another friend about him but everyone said he moved churches. I have to try and forget now. I can't keep hoping to see him. By the way AK are his initials. Hope you guys like it, because I am not sure if it is very good...would appreciate the feedback!
