She felt light and good
In the warm sun
On a peacefulness day
Leaves falling,
The smell of autumn.
Silence everywhere
In the sky and the air on a beautiful day.
Time is short, but sweet.
As time passes you
Forget your past.
It hangs on its
Stem like a plum
At the edge of a
Darkening clump.

Flesh moves slow

Through time and
Evening comes on
Fast and just when
I think my fingers
Might snatch that
Sweetness at last
The gentlest of
Breezes rises and
The plum lets
Let’s go of
The stem.
