Prison
Filled with underground air
My room sits a story below my snug easy going living room
My tile flooring and enclosed wooden walls
Busted up pitch-black stereo with colorful cords popping out the back and
Blasting to my favorite tunes
My bed with white floral flannel sheets and blanket on top
A little yellow-orange lion named Simba sitting with my fuschia fuzzy bear
Every dream in a white air bubble bouncing around my ceiling with
Clothes here, Shoes there
My television left on from the sleepless night before with a cherry red screen and white vivid bold letters tracing Netflix
Vibrant colorful Christmas lights
hang from the unfinished pipes in my ceiling
A massive coal-black shimmer mirror
sitting up like the mirror in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Good vibes, unpleasant nightmares
In my own compact prison just sitting in my basement
Full of underground air.
