The moments I see a child's smile,

I find their eyes, oh so infantile,

Teasing,

Remember where you belong;

The minutes I hear joyous conversation,

Echoes soon reveal a chaotic congregation

Chanting,

The days I find a ray of sunlight,

Clouds cover into grey twilight

Whispering,

Remember where you belong;

The months I enjoy before nature withers,

A snake smirks as it slithers

Hissing,

Remember where you belong;

I can only swim, for so long

Beneath this ocean, any light is wrong

So I drown in the darkness, my heart a gong

With my last breath, I sing a song:
