The Dance Wind
I reached out and took the wind in my hand,
The wind said let go you don’t understand,
I looked at my hand,
And I swear I could see,
The wind looking right back at me,
The wind whistled a tune I shall never forget,
I whistled along sunrise to sunset.
The wind started to dance around and around,
It dance ever so gently without making a sound,
The wind made a move as soft as a breeze,
It said I’ll be leaving now if only you please.
You can’t hold the wind,
Unless the wind want you too,
But the wind is the wind and can always hold you.
I held my hand tight,
As tight as I could,
The wind roared, “Let me go if only you would”,
I let go of the wind I held in my hand,
The wind sighed and said, “I’m meant to move ocean, mountain and sand”.
I shed such a sad tear as the wind blew away,
The wind said do not worry I’ll be back someday.
The wind will be back,
I believe this is true,
And when it does then I’ll know just what to do.
