When Lightning Strikes

Lost.
Deserted
Nothing but me and the trees

No lights,
no limits, no life.
I have nowhere to be.
Everything is still…

Lightning strikes-
Cracks the clouds and
tears through the trees.
Wind whips
A tornado bursts from the sky.
Sand trembles under my feet.

And that’s where I lay…

Insanity creeps up on me
Madness reaches out
And pulls me in its grasp.
Satan swallows me whole

Bloodshot eyes
Peering through the lens of a savage
Nothing but wicked deeds on my mind

What is happening?
I was once fine
but everything seems to go awry
when lightning strikes
