"You're only given a little spark of madness, you mustn't lose it." Robin Williams

I have wings that stretch far enough
To hold everyone close
Maybe if I hold them long enough
They won't make me
Let go
I'm a bird
Yet, my heart is caged in
Like a prisoner
Every time it bleeds
It screams
"Don't be afraid"
Because when you're near me
I'm afraid
And when you kissed me
I lost faith
I'm a bird
That doesn't know
How it feels to be attached
So please
Don't make me pull my strings
And wrap them around you
I know
You'll make me let go
Because I was ready
To set you free
Then you kissed me
For the first time
I felt lips intertwine with mine
My heart started bleeding
I tried
Not being afraid
I tried
Holding on long enough
So you wouldn't make me
Let you go
Still
You made me let you go
I'm a bird
I have wings that stretch far enough
To hold everyone close
Except I couldn't
Get a hold on you...
