Two Silhouettes
If you look
into my dreams
you’ll find me
nestled under his threadbare
sheets, suffocating
breaths of air, groping
for light.
I search for
his prudent lips
in the
darkness, he guides
me toward his
touch.
I look up at
the wall, and
see two silhouettes,
two strangers, and
I don’t seem
to recognize
either of them.
