I think I apologized, didn't I?
When I brushed against the rough arm of what I had intended on my future to be.
She smiled politely, then morphed into a man, a girl, a woman, a place.
I coaxed myself to the center of the things I couldn't erase.
So she held my hand and brought me to her bedroom, only to leave me there waiting.
For something. Anything?
