Trapped

My thoughts plague my
Broken soul. With each
Breath, the fire in my lungs
Grow, and the flames billow.
Pain no longer fills me.
My body is numb. Pieces
Of my heart missing,
Never to be found.
The tigers’ eyes burn
Like embers into
The immortal soul of
Death.
Death knows love, for
Life sends death gifts.
But life knows no love.
For death does not send
Her anything in return.
