Write me a poem about the sea
With all its living things and
children’s dreams
Tell me how the waves collapse
And set you free
When the blanket of ocean
bursts at the seams.
Sing me a song about the stars
The way they draw you
in to build up bars.
-Hum me a melody that
Brings you to me
Cause darling I’m nothing
Without my toes in the sea.
