Colours blend
auttum leaves fall
painting the street
I walk alone
I remember this place
this wonderful time of year
when I met you here
I remember the rain
the chill in the air
our meeting was sweet
as our eyes did meet
I remember the rain
when we walked arm in arm
the laughter as we had to chase
after your dog
I remember the rain
how you smiled and looked around
how you admired the rainbows
and how my hand felt in yours
I look around and sigh
as I remember where I am
you’re no longer here
there’s only the rain
