Escaping Mortality

would you live forever if you could
would you watch as your world died
as everything you knew came to an end
i find myself quite sure i would not
time is a mysterious thing to humans
we think our time is forever
but when we are gone and buried
the world goes on and forgets us
time leaves us all behind eventually
it will keep going even after we die
time ticks on until the end of reality
would you want to see the end of time
