Change
Do you want to change?
No, not at all
That’s what most people will say
Your friends will say that
Your elders will even tell you
That changing for someone else is not okay
Until you’re there
In that very place
When everyone around you is changing
Do you still not want to change?
No, not really
You’ll say that again
The friends that you have left
They’ll say that
Do you want to change?
No
Until everyone around you has become someone else
What will you do?
Change

My inspiration for this piece of poetry sparked as I entered highschool as a freshman. Being freshman, all of the kids around me in my grade always would try to fit in and not act themselves..they changed.
