If you thought for once that you know me
You're wrong.
If you thought you fought harder than me,
You're wrong.
If you thought your bones splintered in more directions
If you thought your heart sank lower in your chest
If you thought your mind ran ten miles farther than mine in half the time
And you thought your head was held higher
You're wrong.
Our hearts beat at the exact same pace
We both wear the exact same face
Fighting our wars in this perilous place
Struggling not to fall from grace
My brother,
We stand together,
And my sister,
We are one.
