Escape
The school year is winding down students are getting antsy for the final bell to ring
It's 2:59
It's now just you and the clock fighting
For that one minute
That bell that rings every day,
To dismiss you from school
Or that bell, that has led you day by day
To the countdown to your summer...
Has finally rang
Now just excitement is in the hallways
All you see is students running out of the school
No more homework
No more hitting that "Snooze" button a million times
Time to fill the calendar with summer plans
No curfew time on school nights
No more setting an alarm
Getting to sleep in
Just late nights with friends
That's what I call relaxation
Yes, summer has begun!
