To My Hair
Manipulating you over and over, the flyways never seem to go away.
But I love when the sun kisses your shafts and you begin to shine luminously.
You sway with life like a palm tree on a windy day.
But you're my headache,
Sometimes dry,
frizzy,
split,
rough,
silky,
smooth,
layered.
Your unexpected behaviors blow my mind.
You change with the seasons,
manageable when it’s colder than a freezer.
A pain when it's humid outside.
Your capricious behaviour irks me.
Sometimes I just want to chop you off and other times I’m obsessed with you.
We just love and hate at the same time.
