Call That Changes Your Life
The hospital doors open
A chilling gust comes charging at you as a gladiator with a spear charging his enemy
You hesitate at th door, not wanting to move
The women at the desk asks if you are okay?
You wait to reply, then finally say yes
You falterly walk to UC room 404
You made your wa through the horrifying hallway, there awaits a lifeless body on the bed
His sweet blue eyes closed
His chest moving slowly
His toes wiggle all so sightly
The machines beeping
What happened to his?
He is only 74
He can recover, can't he?
Life support is the only thing keeping him here
The machine is his breath
The fluids flowing right through his blue systemic veins
Is he dead or is he asleep?
Is he alive or are the machines making him stay alive?
They do call the machines life spport but what does that mean?
Can he hear me?
Or is he not near?
I have waited too long. I am sorry
I love you and i will miss you.
And that was it.
The machines stopped and so did his heart.
