I
Face pressed against speckled glass
moisture races downwards and gathers
as you breathe fog onto the window.

II
As you walk along the sidewalk
liquid flows in a deluge around your feet
shattering as they hit the ground.

III
Sitting along the edge of the bay
the sun shines on one side,
night collides on the other
as water falls from the sky on the mainland.

IV
Moving through delicate framework
you destroy the muddle
at high speeds across wet asphalt
drops destroy themselves on your glass panes.

V
You stand in the midst of the disarray,
atmospheric tears streaming down your face
your own indistinguishable
and you wait.

VI
You are tightly wrapped in coats
umbrellas up to keep the sheets off
rushing through the elements.

VII
Chaos surrounds you
as rain falls on cars and everything else in sight
(out of sight too).
Traffic is louder than the patter
on your windshield.

VIII
The clouds sequester rays of light.
They cannot burn through the veil
as the Earth is hydrated.

IX
Through pixelated screens
and color codes on radars
you see the pattern of the rainfall
a prediction in brilliant green.

X
An air of class about you
as rain falls in darkness
the fire is lit
and turnabout jazz plays softly
in the background.
