The man stuck in the picture
I pull Hamlet into a chokehold.
I tightened my fingers onto his pale skin.
I heard the little gasps of air trying to come out of his mouth as he pulled my fingers off one by one.
I told him if he didn’t come with me he would regret it deeply.
He stepped out the photograph and followed me to the door.
As soon as he had a chance he jumped right back into the picture.
Because he made me so angry, it drove me to breaking the frame and ripping the picture into very small pieces.
This way, he can never come out.
I gave him a chance to be free and he chose not to come.
So now he will forever be the man stuck in the picture.
