seasons
The ground is white tonight
as I look through the bright light.
Children are covered from head to toe
in their warmest winter clothes.
Making big snowmen with family and friends
seeing cheer everywhere.
When white, fluffy snowflakes stop falling
we hear the spring calling.
Its the time of the year where its
not cold but not hot.
The rain seems to never stop.
Then all the sudden, flowers start bursting all around us.
Wild snakes become awake and
are ready to lay out and bake in the sun.
The green moss starts to appear
I don’t shed a single tear.
As the air gets warmer day by day
duties start to fade away.
Hot as an oven, I lay poolside soaking up the sun,
wishing I had more time for all the fun.
The summer activities must come to an end.
Red, yellow, and brown leaves will fall to blend.
Looking at the beautiful landscape and fresh autumn crisp air,
is something for all to share.
My favorite time of year,
with heavier clothes to wear.
Now it’s time for the cycle to begin again.
