Broken Love
When you feel the heat of the sun,
Beating down on your face,
You get this sense of comfort,
As if he is with you, at this very moment.
And the best thing of all,
Is when he kisses your lips,
So soft and gentle,
And the sweetest thing in the world.
And then you remember,
All of the good times,
But can’t help but think,
Is there another guy?
Is this one right?
Is there a way you can tell?
How do you decide?
Or make up your mind?
And with all the pressure,
Coming from friends and family,
And thinking about breaking their hearts,
Will just break yours even more.
Because at the end of the night,
When all's said and done,
The decision lies in your hands,
And you have to do what’s right.
You say you love him,
You promise him it’s true,
And in your heart,
You know it too.
But then why go off,
With this other guy,
And tell him that,
You love him too.
And when you ask for advice,
All you get from anyone,
Is the classic,
Follow your heart.
But this time,
Maybe just this once,
Your heart wants them both,
What do you do then?
The thing that gets you though,
Is that you never really told the truth,
One person knows,
But most others don't.
So what do you say,
To the ones that know?
But then should you lie,
To the ones that don't?
And how do you manage,
To utter the words,
I'm so sorry,
For breaking your heart.
One guy is so far way,
While the other is so close,
And you can’t stand to break ones heart,
But you can’t stand the thought,
Of just being friends with the other.
You love them both to death,
And don't, want a thing to change,
But all in all,
One must fall.
So who would you choose?
The one that wants you,
More than the world,
Or the one that only wants you,
And your happiness?
