"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,"

I wear this face, as a permanent tattoo

stitched underneath my skin
and ingrained in my brain
ingrained into my subconscious
and damn my conscience
is driving me insane
life beating on me
like a damn drum
and pointing a gun in my face
too afraid to take it off
maybe I’ll never know
if I don’t try
to try and fly
But I’ll just be shot down
and fall down with broken wings
looking up at the sky
thinking of the days that gone by
just me, myself and I
buried under lies and hiding my sighs
because the crowd jeers at originality
and the brutality of it just gets to me
upsets me and gets me depressed
you can guess, what a mess my life is right now
falling down, the sound getting loud
and keeps me grounded, punished like a child
clawing away at my innocence
The difference that makes me stand out
live out loud and shout
because that is what life is all about

Somehow I’m over-rated and down graded
Old fashion with a lot of passion
from this period in time but thats all a lie
those harmful words have no regard for nerds
who are special and unique
who are a keep-sake and not cheap
You keep pounding harder and harder
and the heat gets higher and higher
till there is nothing more than hate
Which makes me recreate a bad memory
I’ve suppressed to rid the stress
And to find the best, that I can be
That’s what I need
I need a friend, who could fend
till the end, and takes my hand
and tells me, “Just don’t give in
because you will win”
While the world comes crashing down
on my head, and the walls are caving in
when the time seems to fly and maybe I’ll die
That’s when I’ll find a place to re-erase the bitter past
But it will not last, or come to pass
These days I’m living like a king
With diamond rings
and sing of whatever things
