Thanksgiving Day
The last thursday of November,
is a time for family to come together,
A time for family and thankfulness,
A time to display what you love.
The smell of the delicious warm mashed potatoes is the best,
all of the food on the table makes me feel blessed.
To know that I have a loving and caring family,
is all that really matters to me.
Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce are all set out on the table,
I try to get to it first, if I am able.
Here comes my family, hungry as lions
waiting for the their first bite of the homemade meal.
We all gather together with our food to cherish everything from the past,
And to hope for the best that is going to come coming next.
It’s time to eat as much as you can.
It's Thanksgiving.
