A voice that woke me
On a midsummer night
Painted my dreams with sparkling colours
The voice knew not from where
Filled my heart with a song
A voice that taught me
How to love, a voice;
That taught me how to care
A voice that made me sing aloud
A voice that made me dance about
A voice that never left me alone
Travelled along on joys and sorrows
A voice that awakened a new me
A voice that taught me;
How to live!
