Her Room Shadowed
Her room shadowed
her thoughts, flowing out her ears.
She emptied
her thoughts hovered over her,
moonlight peering through the window.
She was thinking of him
It was her beating heart ringing
in her ear that disguised itself as his
Voice
She smiled.
Her face grew warm
but her eyes adjusted and made vision that no one was there
Her eyes filled with images
of her past
A heavy breeze brushed over her
She felt the weight wrap around her waist
Turning to see if it was true
If he was true
She held her breath in fear of blowing him away
This dream is too real
He was too real
Her eyes couldn't help her
all they did was drown
Voice shaking
“Kiss me, I want to feel you,”
The wind shook
No matter how vivid
It was no longer him
She would never feel him again
She reached out her hand to feel what looked to be him
His image that has been tormenting her
vanishes between her fingers
She feels it
Herself alone
clenching her chest
she doesn’t allow her broken heart to shatter
Her body refilling with thought
She falls asleep
and is now dreaming with her eyes closed
“theres no escaping someone who has touched you”

Sometimes getting lost in your dreams is better than getting lost in reality.
