Perfection Isn't Real
Perfection.
The thing that keeps you up
When your eyes should be shutting.
The thing that society says, is the only thing that's acceptable.
Perfection.
The most used word on the planet,
Yet has the least meaning.
The word to describe someone even though everytime that word comes out of your mouth, it's a lie.
Perfection.
The poison society injects in people.
The drug that everyone is addicted to.
The thing that keeps your mind awake even though you're body is shut down.
The standard that everyone on this earth is held to.
Perfection.
The word that will cease to ever have one definition.
The word that everyone will forever interpret differently.
The reason why self hate exists in the first place.
The reason why movies give people such high expectations.
Human.
The thing that we are.
The thing that makes mistakes.
The thing that might be over weight, but still deserves to be accepted.
Human.
The reflection that you see
The thing you think is gross
The person you can't stop staring at
Because you can't stop thinking about that one word.
Human.
The thing that your stuck as
The thing that's alive even thought you may not be living.
The thing that to others may not be acceptable
The thing that it is okay to be
Perfection, human.
You can star in that mirror for hours, and just because you don't can't anything perfect, doesn't mean you can't see anything beautiful.
