Old World Blues
Silence my brother,
will be brought
upon by man
because of steel.
A resurgence will
prelude the silence.
Followed by a blight
that will engulf the planet,
like a wolf stalks
its prey.
The minutiae of today
will be gone tomorrow
because of man,
because of steel.
Secrets so sacred,
scarred separate,
like the cracks
in the earth.
Split by metal,
falling from the sky.
Silence my brother,
will be brought
upon by man
because of steel.
