Teenagers
Our Fingers Ache as we desperately grapple onto the dock,
With every passing second,
Our grip wavers with the weight of our worlds,
Knotted tightly around our ankles,
Yanking and pulling us deeper and deeper into troubled waters,
GPA's, social anxiety, guilt,
Dragging us down, deeper and deeper.
The weight causing our bodies to strain,
Self image, depression, worries,
We have lost all control,
We have been entirely engulfed,
By the seemingly never-ending struggles that we face,
We have been blinded by them, so we succumb to them.
