Mother
The wind rasps against the grain
Of Steele swords used for gain
In the crushing pressure of Mother’s call
To shed blood or take a fall
Like Mother’s leaves to autumn’s song
It takes all we have to keep her strong
The price too steep, we were wrong
Now our Mother yearns
To heal the centuries burns
And feel the glisten of rain
Stolen for human gain
Destroyed by the chaos in the air
Nuclear weapons taking their fare
Leaving
Mother Nature left bare
Mother Nature didn’t care
Because when humans die away
The mountains will not sway
The rivers survive the day
The forests make their way
Through the grasses and the sea
To be reborn by new seed
Mother Nature will not concede
So be good to your Mother
Reborn free
