A man in a suit
Brought roses home, keys didn’t fit
  But her car was there
And the porch light was lit.
Sat on the steps, thinking thereafter
But inside I heard, her beautiful laughter.
Her door opened, and out he came
  A man in a suit
  She had taken his name.
Stood up, I did, up with a start
  Said, “That woman in there,
  She has stolen my heart.”
He laughed real quick and said suddenly,
  “The girl that you desire?
  She belongs to me.”
He left and I stood, in plain old clothes
Not a suit nor a tie
Like the man she had chose.
But as I walked away, her door opened wide
Her blue eyes were lit as she said,
  “Come inside.”

I left the end of this poem up for the reader to decifer. She could be committing adultery, she could be just sitting down and having a nice cup of coffee with him. Parts of this poem reflect my personal life, dealing with relationships and family life.
