Preserve It
Embrace it, don’t let it fade away
There is nothing more to say
Preserve your history
Or it’ll all be a mystery
It is who you are
It’ll stay with you; just like a scar.
Keep the things that remind you of your past
It’s the long-term memories that always last
There is no way to escape your birth
For you, bring in more of your culture to the earth
Keep your ancestry fresh in your mind
For you, don’t know what it is you might find
Anything can bring great significance to you
It doesn’t matter what it is you do
It’s possible it brings importance to your family as well
Keep it safe from dangers, no need to yell
A quilt knitted by a member’s hands,
Keep it together so everyone understands
It'll assist people understand your ways
It could leave them thinking for days
It’s something that makes you unique
It’s not like it makes you a freak
Therefore, there is no need to conceal
Because it is what makes you real
