The tasty treat
The tasty treat
You stalk the mouse
in the tall grass
a wall of trees
sits trapped in the earth
before you
as you slip
and slide
across the wet mud
the tail wisps
escaping your awaiting
ribbon of tongue
riddled with the liquid
of the devil
ready to grasp
the soul of anyone
you choose
as you slither
through the weeds
you see
the mouse
it lies still
it’s eyes black
it’s heart empty
you
are buried underneath
the fresh
moist soil
as you slowly glide
towards the mindless animal
the rocks beneath you settle
the mouse
it’s head
it snaps towards you
and the noise
the pupils of your prey
they are two moons
a dark reflection in them
reveals you slowly approaching
it’s spine quickly arches
it’s body turns
it squeals in pain
lying on it’s side
helpless
broken.
you circle the creature
it’s mind
to stupid to realize
it’s inevitable death
the disabled mass of fur and flesh
still believes it has a chance
stupid
stupid creature
you squirm underneath
the quivering lump
you wrap
the length of your tail
around the dying mass
you pulsate your body
you can feel the air
slowly escaping
from the raspy lungs
the fluctuating pumps
of it’s heart
they begin to fade
your sharp
milky white teeth
extend from
your cavernous mouth
they pierce
they grey fur
it glistens
the hairs of the animal
they tickle
the cave of your mouth
an earthy taste
spreads through the roof
to the tongue
the flesh is stubborn
the muscles are tight
your strong jaws
they clamp even the tighter
you feel a gush
red
drizzles into you
you suck the life
out of it
the blood drools
out of the wide sides
of your jaws
it’s perfect fur
it’s glistening
now a dark maroon
stained
the bones
the structure of your jaw
slowly unattached
from the rest of your long
sleek
figure
you are the vacuum
intaking the mouse
adrenaline pumps
through the veins
lining the walls
in you
you gulp
down the rest of the animal
it’s tail the last to go
your throat gags
you adjust your muscles
ready to intake your meal
the mouse is squeezed through your throat
satisfied
with the job well done
You are the snake.

I was bored in health class so I decided to right a poem. I was trying to think of random things and snakes popped up in my mind. I was just trying to almost capture a 3rd person view of a snake stalking a mouse.
