Creations
Creations
By Aj Foltz
Shoes, hats, lips, eyes,
Scattered across the floor,
Her little hands reach down and
Grab the parts to
Mr. Potato Head.
She makes him the way she wants to,
Conforms him to be the best,
Then destroys her creations,
As fast as they were made.
Stares, whispers, judging looks,
Scattered across the lunchroom,
The students reach down and
Grab the soul
Of the girl.
They make her the way they want to,
Conform her so she is no longer herself,
Then destroy the creation
They didn’t know they made.

Sometimes I write poetry based on random words people suggest for me. Strange, but it has also led to some pretty great work. The random word for this poem was "Potatoes".
