Why I Write

I am not a writer
I am one who writes
I write because I cannot speak
I write because it’s the only way to help me feel
I write because those who read it are my only friends
I write because those who feel it become a part of me
I describe the scents that I smell
I let them feel the things that I touch
I tell them about the things that I taste
I repeat the things that I hear
I draw an image in their mind the things that I see
All on paper that can be passed
From home to home
Because Facebook and Instagram are down.
