August 18 (My Gospel)
I am 5 foot 2 inches.
Which is what WebMd considers short
(and everyone else)
but
I am 5 foot 2 inches of
bravery
forgiveness
strength
loud giggles
and kindness
melodic words
dedication
and hope
I am 5 foot 2 inches
of a girl like the ocean, like the wind
warm and stirring
a girl born into the eye of the storm
a girl with a strong heart, calloused hands and happy legs
a girl who knows change better than her home phone number
and okay
maybe I am short
but I am sure not small.
