The Hungry Hunter
A Whitetail Deer.
To most it’s just an animal
To me its food, Its my life
I hunt to put food on my table
The sun starts to break and light up the woods
The crows start to squak
The wind quiet as a rock
Noise behind me I turn around to see only a squirrel
Hours pass and no deer to show for it.
The time has come I will get my chance at a deer.
The deer walks down the hill into a clearing
Its now or never so I draw my bow and settle the sites…
I follow the blood trail to the deer
I thank god for the the meat and the hunt
Now me and my family have more food
