I walked
I tried to escape the sadness surrounding me
The further I walked, the deeper into the chamber I got
Gas flooding through, taunting the idea of hope
There was no hope
Hope is an unrealistic idea, the idea that things will get better
For most it didn't get better
Hope was the only thing to hold onto
Hope slipped through the cracks
The old path was the only thing left
Everything fell apart
Lining the walls, sequences represented all that were lost
Representing all who never found hope
All of whom couldn't escape the dark pit of vengeance
That killed their kind
I looked up
The clouds, covering the sun
The sun never rose for the numbers on the wall
Because that was all they were
Numbers
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 60 million
  They were just numbers
Lining the wall of glass pillars
Touching the sky
A sky covered in clouds
"Keep going," and a pat on the back
I didn't keep going
I took longer, trying to remember the numbers
There were just so many
Augustus Waters told me something
For each living, there are fifteen dead
To remember them all, we would need to care
But we don't
Those numbers on the wall, engulfing me
Won't be remembered
Because they are just numbers
