Your Effect
Why is it that whenever I just hear your name,
My heart skips a beat?
Or when I see your face,
I can't help but smile.
I would kill to hear your laugh a million times,
And I would do anything just to be the reason behind your smile.
All I want to do is be the one to make you uncontrollably happy.
I want to make you feel the way you make me feel.
Ever since I met you, I have noticed something:
My heart is happy.
I'm not that girl that goes home crying,
Or that girl who hides her face in sadness.
There is something so beautiful about how you make my heart beat so fast,
even when I don't want it to beat at all.
I find myself craving you.
Craving your attention, your love.
And I consider this such a beautiful thing,
But also such a scary thing.
It's so dangerous how if I didn't have you,
I wouldn't have anything.
You have become a necessity to me.
I am a plant,
And you are my sunlight.
Everything I have,
Can vanish within the snap of a finger.
Then I saw you with her,
And it happened.
