How I envy your beauty!
Your complexion,
So fair
So soft and creamy
Gentle in its nature
Yet sharp
In the way that it forces one to stare.
And your blemishes,
Beautiful blemishes and stunning scars
That have been carved
Into your ever glowing skin
Only make you shine brighter.

And how I envy your fame!
Everyone
Everywhere knows you.
They all stop to look at you.
They'll even search for you!
Craning their necks
To catch a glimpse
Of the much appreciated
Much loved
You.

You who is forever embedded

Into pumping hearts,
Grey, fleshy brains,
And distraught souls.

And Oh! How I envy your ignorance!
You see no hate, no lies, or betrayal.
No war, no hunger, or disease.
Through your eyes everything is calm,
Serene,
And peaceful.
Life carries on
In precise measurements and routines,
Almost never ending.

Oh, how I envy the moon.
