100 flavors of Guilt
I love to eat.
Ben & Jerry’s Late Night Snack, Everything But The…
Chips, salsa, guacamole.
Waffles, bagels, cereal.
Popcorn, candy, cookies.
I’ll take it all.
Don’t blink.
It’s gone.
All gone.
We accept the love we think we deserve.
I deserve the love of chocolate milk and thousands of calories.
The very idea of gaining weight constricts my breathing,
but finishing a pizza means I’ve finished the race.
I’ve won the grand prize.
10 minutes bent over a toilet,
and a moment of relief
from the monster living inside of me.
