A Single Fish
Alone in the sea
Swept along with the currents
No venue to tend to
No friends to seek
Alone in the river
Lots of fish with friends
Families having fun
No one like me
Alone in the docks
Sharp hooks everywhere
No one to warn me
No one to save me
In the aisles of a grocery store
Beings not like me.
Picked up and grilled
Now in a stomach
I find a fish just like me.
